Who does what on Mufasa

People who interact with Mufasa can have three different roles, i.e.:

Job Users
People who run and manage their own jobs on Mufasa, but can neither intervene on the jobs of other users, nor create new users. (Special case: in each research group there is one specially designated Job User who can create new users.)
Job Users are people who need the computing resources of Mufasa for laboratory activity (e.g., experiments). Typically, Job Users are academic staff, Ph.D. students and sometimes M.Sc. students.
If you are a student and you don't know who to ask for information or help, your supervisor can usually advise.
Job Administrators
People who manage users and jobs.
Job Administrators can create new users and intervene on process queues and jobs of any user. Typically, job administrators include specially skilled academic staff and people who supervise/support laboratory activities, such as lab technicians. One of the Job Administrators for Mufasa is Giulio Fontana, i.e. the administrator of this wiki.
System Administrators
People in charge of the setup, configuration and maintenance of Mufasa's hardware and software.
The tasks of System Administrators include installing and configuring hardware and software components, managing software updates and executing periodic activities such as system backups. The System Administrators of Mufasa are the ICT technicians of DEIB.
